PORTABLE SPHINCTOMETER

- the PORTABLE SPHINCTOMETER is used to measure the ANAL TONE and STRENGTH OF THE VOLUNTARY CONTRACTION.
- & Calculates, the ARP ( Anal Resting Pressure ) and the AMP ( Anal Maximal Pressure....the patient is asked to squeeze for 10 secs )
- The device, also gives the MEAN Pressure reading
- Along with the Device, a basic software is provided, which helps record and generate a Report for maintaining Patient
  information & Measured Values 
- The Anal Tone is recorded Pre op and Post op, to confirm Deviation in functioning of the SPHINCTER, if any.


In addition, this device can also be used, as a PELVIC BIOFEEDBACK TRAINER.


As, per data available, BIOFEEDBACK, which is a safe and inexpensive therapy, & benefits 75% of the patients and cures about 50%.

- The patient values ( ARP & AMP ) are measured and stored, during the First Consultation
- Depending on the deviation from the Normal Values
- the Patient is prescribed Kegel's exercises, twice or thrice daily, depending on his clinical condition ( deviation from Normal values )
- A fortnight later, during the next consultation, the Patients values are measured again & recorded in the same Patient id on the software
- A Comparison is made, and deviations in values, if any, are noted, in the new ARP & AMP.....
- Accordingly the future, course of therapy is decided
